We have been asked by many of our clients and friends what they should do in light of the COVID-19 pandemic regarding their major gift campaigns. The attached document outlines some principles we should remember and other we should probably implement during these troubling times.
My colleagues and I have had the opportunity to work in this industry when there was 20%+ interest rates, the stock market crash of 1987, dot-com bubble fiasco, September 11th, and the housing and market crash of 2008. Through those years of experience we learned that the principles and best practices of fundraising don’t change, but sometimes we need reinforce and find new ways to implement them.
